Mrs. Rose Namie, 82, died Friday night at her reesidence, 525 W. Vine Street following a long illness. Born in Syria, Mrs. Namie had lived in this country for the past fifty years, forty of which were spent in Decatur where she was connected with the mercantile business of her husband, the late George Namie.
Prayer services will be held at the residence at 9:30 a.m.Monday, funeral services to follow at 10 a.m. from St. Anne's Catholic Church, Father O'Reilley officiating.
Interment will be made in the city cemetery, Brown directing.
Pallbearers will be: W.B. Britain, Dan McKenna, Tom Faust, N. Mansour, Richard Tanory, and Solomon Joseph.
Mrs. Namie is survived by four daughters, Mrs. John Mary Franklin, Fairfax, Okla; Mrs. Nellie Neshad, Birmingham; Mrs. Rosie Hooper, Chattanooga; Mrs. Ruby Shaia, Decatur; three sons, John Namie, Birmingham; Mike and Frank Namie, Decatur; and one brother, Abraham Shaia, Decatur.
