Nancy was the 3rd child born to Frederick Shamblen and Asenth Wickham. She was only about 6 when her mother died. She and her little brother, George, went to live with Asenth's sister Julia and her husband, Jacob Douglas, after her father remarried. She remained with Julia until her marriage to Samuel Forshey on 25 Jan 1870 in Noble Co., Ohio.
Nancy was the mother of 9 kids we know for sure; Rosella, Deborah, Lillian, Mary, Martha, Samuel, Jr., Geneva, Ella and Thomas.
There is a matter of a couple kids we are not sure of that are listed on the headstone. I believe Dollie is Ella but do not know about Jeffie and Blanche. Jeffie could be nickname for Samuel, Jr.
