Son of Edward Gray III and Rebecca. Baptized 1 June 1718 at United Congregational Church of Little Compton, R.I. He was a wagon maker. After the death of his father in 1722 his mother and all his siblings removed to Killingworth, CT. Daniel married Abigail Kelsey in Killingworth 5 September, 1743. Their children were all born in Killingworth: Daniel 1743 & 1746, Pardon 1745, Edward 1748, Phillip 1749, Jeremiah 1752 and Abigail 1755. Daniel died at age 44. He is buried near his brother Phillip who died in 1749, but no stone has been found to date. His wife Abigail survived him by 35 years. She lived with her son Daniel Jr. in Madison, CT. till his death in 1789. And survived him by another 8 years. She died at age 83.
