Hays -- Marietta Marie Kohlrus, 67, Hays, died Monday, Dec. 20, 1999, at her home. Mrs. Kohlrus was born Marietta Marie Leiker on June 4, 1932, at Antonino.

She was an insurance agent for Insurance Planning and later for Bieker Insurance, retiring in 1992. She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Daughters of Isabella and Perpetual Eucharist Adoration Adorers and a volunteer at the hospital.

She was preceded in death by four infant children.

Survivors include her husband, John of the home; two sons, Tim and Terry, both of Ellis; a daughter, Mary Detrixhe of Russell; her mother, Ann Leiker of Hays; two brothers, Herbert of Anca, Calif., and Ernest of Aurora, Colo.; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Hays, the Revs. David Metz and Carl Kramer officiating. Burial will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery, Hays. A Perpetual Adorers rosary will be said at 3 p.m., a Daughters of Isabella rosary at 6 p.m. and a parish vigil at 6:30 p.m. today at the Hays Memorial Chapel, 20th and Pine, Hays 67601.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Hays Medical Center, 2501 E. 13th, Hays, or for Masses. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today and from noon to 1:45 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
