She was a native and lifelong resident of Cherokee County, NC; and the daughter of Regan and Frances Ramsey.
Maida was a homemaker who loved to quilt and grow outside flowers.
She was an active and faithful member of First Baptist Church of Murphy.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Arvil Dockery; son, Benny Dockery; grandson, Tony Dockery; granddaughter, Jennifer Killian; two infant brothers; one infant sister; brother, Porter Ramsey and son-in-law, Bill Cornwell.
Burial: Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery.
