Lawrence Edgar Cowan, 88, of Desota, Ga. died Friday in Palmyra Hospital at Albany.
Mr. Cowan was a machinist and a member of the Moose Lodge. He was a member of the Methodist Church.
He was born Aug. 16, 1906 at Montgomery County.
Survivors include a daughter, Delores Hillis of Greenfield, Ind.; a son, Duke of Desota, Ga,; six grandchildren; and nin great-grandchildren.
The funeral is scheduled for 2 pm Sunday in Harvey's Reese Park Chapel Funeral Home in Americus, Ga. Burial will be in East Washington Cemetery in Indianapolis.
