Harry Franklin Short, 76, of Stanley died Sunday morning, March 1, at Rockingham Memorial Hospital. He was born June 18, 1904 in Page County and was a son of the late Charley F. and Maggie S. Short. He is survived by a brother, Charles W. Short of Stanley, and four sisters, Myrtle Presgraves, Beulah Dinges, Nellie Purdham and Mary Stillwell, all of Stanley. The funeral was conducted Tuesday, March 3, at the Bradley Funeral Home by the Rev. O. Wendell Smith. Burial was in the family cemetery.
