Violet was the daughter of Matthew Theodore Miller and Mary Frances (Sproule) Miller. She married Frank William Martin Aug 23, 1896, in Racine, Wisconsin. They had 7 children: Robert, Theodore, Helen, Clifford, Violet, Frank and Doris. The children were born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. Frank and Violet retired to the Los Angeles area where four of their children had settled. Violet passed away at Foothill Sanitarium of a cerebral thrombosis on Dec 29, 1956. She was cremated Dec 31, 1956, at Grand View Crematory, Glendale, California. Disposition of her ashes is unknown.
