Dodge City -- Edwin A. Staab, 77, died Saturday, Jan. 23, 1993 at Humana Hospital, Dodge City. He was born Aug. 30, 1915 in Catherine, to Edward and Elizaberth (Pfeifer) Staab.

He married Frances J. Ehrlich Nov. 5, 1946 in Great Bend.

He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Dodge City, and VFW Post No. 3111, American Legion Post No. 180 and the Eagles Lodge, all of Great Bend. He was a retired oil field truck driver.

Survivors include his wife, of the home; three sons, Larry E. and Jerry Lee, both of Great Bend, and Gary Joe, Granberry, Texas; a daughter, Shelly Ann Lewis, Bucklin; two brothers, Robert, Bakersfield, Calif., and Francis J., Tacoma, Wash.; three sisters, Aurelia Hammershmidt, Great Bend, Lydia Sanders, Hays, and Pauline Nuss, Dallas, Texas; and three grandchildren.

Military graveside services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday at Great Bend Mausoleum, with Father David Flagor officiating. A vigil service is scheduled for 8 tonight at Fryberger Chapel, Great Bend. Visitation is until 9 tonight and from 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
