Mrs. Sarah J. Hoffman died at her home in this village Monday, April 10, after a lingering illness of several months. She was born in the state of New York May 4th, 1832. She had been a widow for a good many years and resided with her son Ellsworth. Four sons survive her, Ellsworth and John Hoffman being her at the time of her death. The funeral was held at the M.E. Church Thursday afternoon, Rev H. W. Thompson conducting the services. Interment in the Watervliet cemetery.
