John E. Fehlman, 66, of 4014 Jordan Road, Skaneateles, died yesterday at Crouse-Irving Memorial Hospital. Born in DeWitt, Mr. FehIman was a former resident of 414 Hickok Ave. He was the founder of the John Fehlman and Son Auto Service, 2612 Burnet Ave., and operated the business 23 years before retiring three years ago. Surviving are his wife, the former Verabel Gridley; two sons, the Rev. Robert B. of Torrance, Calif., and William E.: a daughter, Mrs. Bernice Goffe of Webster; 10 grandchildren; two brothers, Herman of Jamesville and William of Auburn; three sisters, Mrs. Emma Washer of Lancaster, Calif., Mrs. Glenn Leader of Skaneateles and Miss Ann; three stepsons, Edwin, David and Timothy Hungerford; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow at Goddard and Crandall Funeral Home, 3111 James St., the Rev. Hani W. Khoury officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the sanctuary fund of James Street United Methodist Church or to the American Cancer Society.
