Funeral services for Mrs. Otto (Caroline) Max will be held at Glende Johnson Chapel Saturday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Gregor Kutz officiating. Burial will be in the Burau Cemetery.
Mrs. Max died at Broen Memorial Home Monday at the age of 76. Formerly Caroline Bachman, she was born in Swanville Township, Morrison COunty., September 30, 1882. She had lived in the Rothsay community since 1903 and was married to Otto Max at the Burau Church, Jan. 28, 1904. She lived on the same farm all her married life.
Survivors are five daughters, Mrs. William O. (Helen) Schmidt of Fergus Falls; Mrs Cora Kramer of Pipestone; Mrs. Wendell (Inez) Brown at home; Mrs. Adolph (Rudy) Strande of Campbell and Mrs. Ralph (Glee) Justus of Jamestown, N.D., four sons, Otto, John, Richard and Kermit, all of the Rothsay area.
She also leaves 15 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, three brothers and three sisters. They are William Bachman of Proctor, John Bachman of Princeton and Sam Davis of Box ELder, Mont., Mrs William Splinter of Brookings, S.D., Mrs. Ed Max of Hillside. Ill and Mrs. Anna Schilling of Kennewick, Mont.
Her husband died in August 1948.
