ROTHSAY (Special) Otto A. Max, 74, of Akron township died at the Wright Memorial Hospital in Fergus Falls, where he was admitted for care on Saturday. He had been in failing health for sometime, but had been up and about, and was confined to his bed only four days before his death.
Mr. Max was born in West Prussia, Germany, May 29, 1874, and came to the United States at the age of 12 years, settling in Akron township where he had lived the remainder of his life.
He was married to Miss Caroline Bachman of Morrison County, Minn., on Jan. 28, 1904, and they made their home on the same farm throughout their married life. They were the parents of; eleven children, two of whom died in infancy.
One brother, Carl Max, died six years ago; and a sister, Mrs. Ernestine Engish, passed away four years ago.
Funeral arrangements have not been completed pending word from other relatives.
