Sent to Camp Wheeler, Ga.; assigned to Company K, 121st Infantry. Transferred to Camp Mills, N.Y.; thence overseas, attached to the Thirty-first Division. Died of bronchial pneumonia October 12, 1918, Brest, France. Body returned to U.S., and buried in Cliff Cemetery, Cannelton, Ind.
