Daughter of William Leonard and Margaret Jane (Smith) Horner. She was born Feb. 8, 1868 [per tombstone 1867] in MO. and died on her 84th Birthday, Feb. 8, 1952.

After her first husband was killed, she married George William Gregory. They had one daughter, Mary Margaret Gregory-Wagner.

Sarah's mid-wifery
Sarah Frances Gregory was said to have been a mid-wife. She was the person who delivered twin girls, May and Mable abt. 1915 in Arkansas. We don't know who the mother of these girls was, but Sarah delivered them, and soon after the birth the mother was given wild honey (which she had requested) and subsiquently died from the honey. The girls were adopted by Sarah Frances and her husband following their mother's death. The 1940 census shows them living with the Gregorys and the girl's last name was Gregory by this time.

This story was told to the family by Thelma Davis, and verified by Eddeania Briner to Bob Briner on Feb. 1, 2013.
