William Kosar, 43, Dies At Massena
MASSENA - William J. Kosar, 43, died at the Central Cafe which he has owned and operated for several years. Death resulted from a heart attack about 9 p.m. Sunday. He was born on an Adair county farm on Jan. 2, 1914, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Kosar and was married to Grace Coleman of Orient on Jan. 9, 1938.
Surviving beside his wife are four children, Joseph, John, Lary and Mary; his father, John Kosar; one granddaughter, and two sisters, Mrs. Anton Freouf of Martin, S. D., and Mrs. Nellie Williamson of Prescott.
Funeral arrangements are pending.

Wm. (Bill) Kosar Passes Suddenly Last Sunday Night
This community was shocked to learn that William John (Bill) Kosar, aged 43, had passed away suddenly last Sunday evening, the victim of a heart attack. He was stricken at the Central Cafe and died about 9 P.M. He and his wife, Grace, have owned and operated the Central Cafe here for 5 1/2 years. He has been active in all civic affairs, Chamber of Commerce, Fire Department, Legion, Red Cross, and many other community projects.
He was born in Adair County, January 2, 1914, the son of John and Josephine Krisinger Kosar. He was married to Grace Coleman at Grant City, Mo., January 9, 1932. He was preceded in death by their first child and his mother. Surviving are his wife and four children, Joe, John, Lary, and Mary; one grandchild, Kay Rae Kosar; his father, John Kosar; and two sisters, Nellie (Mrs. Harry) Williamson of Prescott and Albina (Mrs. Anton) Freoff of Martin, South Dakota.
Just last Friday Bill had driven a school bus load of children to their swimming classes in Atlantic. He had generously donated his services to this cause since the program was started several years ago. He worked hard for his community and was ever trying to help make it a better place to live. Unselfish in his ways, Bill never turned down an opportunity to help others no matter what the occasion. His untimely passing will be keenly felt by his family, friends and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock at the Massena Methodist church with Rev. Carl A. Crouse officiating. Mrs. Gerald Wollenhaupt sang "Beyond the Sunset" and "God Will Take Care of You," accompanied by Mrs. Robert Peel. In charge of flowers were Mr. and Mrs. Harry Stapleton and Mrs. Blanche Denham. Pallbearers were firemen, Glen Wolford, Melvin Herrick, Harold Greenwalt, Delmer McElfish, James Rowland, and Clyde Chapman. Interment was in the Williamson Bohemian National Cemetery.
