Jackson ADAMS, 80, R.R. 2, Akron, died at 8 p.m. Sunday in the McCary Memorial hospital in Kendallville. He had been ill for two weeks.
Born Oct. 12, 1894, in Wolf county, Ky., Mr. Adams moved to Akron from Kentucky in 1921. He was married May 14, 1927 in Warsaw to Pauline PERSONETTE, who died in 1973. Mr. Adams was a retired farmer, a veteran of World War I and a member of the Warsaw World War I Barracks and the Modern Woodman lodge.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Bonney) SUMME of Albion; three sons, Jack [ADAMS], Jr., Mentone, and Raymond and Jimmie [ADAMS] of R.R. 2, Akron; nine grandchildren, and one reat-grandchild
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Sheetz funeral home in Akron with the Rev. Claude FAWNS officiating. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Tuesday.
