Mr. Strong was educated in the district and became a public school teacher. From 1914 to 1937 he lived at Sibbald, Alberta, returning to Olds to make his home.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Bertha Strong; three daughters, Mrs. Hazel Halvorson, Mrs. Phyllis McNutt and Mavis Munday and three sisters, Mrs. Olive Fletcher, Mrs. Merle Peck and Mrs. Grace Walrod.
Hymns at the service included some of Mr. Strong's favorites, "Shall We Gather at the River", "Under His Wing", and a duet, "Lights of Home."
