Services for Doris J. Johnston, 53, of Route 5, County Roads 500 East and 250 South, who died at 1:35 p.m. Monday in Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Chicago, after an illness, will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Price & Van Gilder Funeral Home. Burial will be in Round Lake Cemetery. Friends may call today and until the services Thursday in the funeral home. Mrs. Johnston was born Aug. 21, 1932, in Alger, Ohio. She had lived in the Knox area for most of her life. On Sept. 9, 1950, in Knox, she married Edwin Johnston. He survives with two sons, Don of Valparaiso and Garry of Little Rock, Ark.; six grandchildren; five brothers, Lester Cole of North Judson, Glen Cole of Portage and Larry, Jerry and David Cole, all of Knox; and her mother, Helen Marshall Cole of North Judson. A brother, Robert Cole, preceded her in death. Mrs. Johnston had been employed at Sears, Roebuck & Co. and at a local doctors office.
