Mrs. Helen Russell Allen, 70 Broad Street, Newville, widow of Abram Stamy Allen, died last night in the Carlisle Hospital. She was 70 years old.
A daughter of the late David Bowers and Hadessa Jane Hoch Russell, she was a member of the Grace Evangelical and Reformed Church, Shippensburg.
She is survived by a son, Abram Spencer Allen, Newville; three brothers, R. Blain Russell, Shippensburg; Arthur B. Russell, York, and E. Bruce Russell, Norristown; two sisters, Mrs. Grover Clem, Chambersburg, and Mrs. Walter Zimmerman, Mechanicsburg, and three grandchildren, Spencer Ray Allen, Avis Sue Allen and Jon Scott Allen.
Funeral services will be held on Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock in the Reuben A. Shoot Funeral Home, Newville. Rev. W. Russell Zimmerman, pastor of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Wilmington, Del. will officiate. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery, Shippensburg. Friends may call tomorrow night at the funeral home.
