Burial will be in Corinth Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home, and the body will be in the church one hour before the service.
Mr. Alexander died Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2000, at Lawrence Baptist Medical Center. He was born Jan. 30, 1944, in Lawrence County, to Guy Alexander and Lou Ellen Alexander. He retired as a self-employed carpenter and was a member of Corinth Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Alexander; one son, David Wayne Alexander of Trinity; one daughter, DeShana Renae Tyrka of Trinity; five brothers, Arnold Alexander, Farris Alexander, Ray Alexander and Jimmy Alexander, all of Trinity, and Nathaniel Alexander of Moulton; two sisters, Estelle Nelson of Trinity and Linda White of Hillsboro; and six grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Chris Alexander, Stacy Alexander, Ashley Alexander, Jarrison Nelson, Micah White, Joey Alexander and Stephan Sherrill.
