She was the daughter of Moses Thompson. Asa and Hannah resided near the Pemigewasset River in the West side of Sanbornton, New Hampshire.He was a successful farmer.
Asa and Hannah had 5 children:

1) Taylor Crockett Prescott b.9 Nov 1809- ; married Harriet Davenport.
2) Deborah Prescott b.3 Jan 1812- ; married Peabody Knox of Pembroke NH, they had no children.
3) Nancy Prescott b.4 Feb 1814- ; married Jeremiah Thompson son of Moses.
4) Susannah Prescott b.6 Feb 1816 - ; married Obadiah Eastman son of Thomas.
5) Joseph Thompson Prescott b.20 Jan 1820-d.28 Feb 1823.
