AE 80 years∼Taylor Crockett Prescott was the son of Asa Prescott and Hannah Thompson. He married Harriet Davenport on 14 Dec 1837. She was the daughter of Phineas Davenport of New Hampshire.
Taylor was an extensive landowner and also a farmer in the Western part of Sanbornton, New Hampshire. His grandfather was Major Joseph Prescott. They were in that portion of the town when they and others received the title of "The New State".
Taylor was a Captain in the militia, justice of the peace, and was a representative of the town to the General Court in 1865-1866 (State Representative).
Taylor and Harriet had three children:
1)Asa Davenport Prescott b.10 Dec 1838 - ; married Mary Ambrosin Prescott dau of Joseph & Mary (Judkin) Prescott.
2)Mary Adaline Prescott b.27 Jan 1845- ; married John Brown.
3) Frank LaRoy Prescott b.14 May 1848- 1898.
