Victoria -- Raymond J. Kuhn, 72, of rural Victoria, died Friday morning at Good Samaritan Rest Home in Ellis. Born Dec. 2, 1899 in Victoria, Kuhn was a life-long resident of the area.

He was a retired famer and former employe of the Ellis County Highway Department before retiring in 1967 after 11 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna, in June, and three brothers.

Survivors include two sons, Alvin J., Walker, and Vernon of the home; four daughters, Mrs. Eugene (Celesta) Miller, Barkley, Nebr., Mrs. Robert (Sylvia) Miller, Ellinwood; Mrs. Mary Ann Flax, Hutchinson; Mrs. Laurin (Elaine) Herl, Plainville; five brothers, Eugene, Gorham; Leo, Clarence and Joseph, Victoria; and Francis, Topeka. Eight sisters, Mrs. B. J. Dinkel, Mrs. Anselm Windholz and Mrs. Leo Brungardt, all of Victoria; Mrs. Otto Rohleder, Mrs. Charles Windholz, Mrs. Dan Bieker and Mrs. Albert Reidel, all of Hays; and Mrs. Vincent Copp, WaKeeney; and 28 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Fidelis Church, at Victoria, with burial in St. Ann's Cemetery, Walker. Friends may call Sunday until the hour of service. A parish wake service will be said at 8:30 p.m. Sunday at Cline's Mortuary which is in charge of arrangements.
