Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Thursday, September 7, 1967 at the Miller Funeral Chapel for John Q. Anderson, 93 years, 1 month and 8 days. Patient at Southmoor Nursing Home. He died Monday after a long illness.

Mr. Anderson was born July 26, 1874, at Hudson, Illinois, and married Montaine McElroy at Independence, Kansas, on June 23, 1897. When he was a child, he moved with his family to Kansas. In 1921, he moved to South Dakota, settling at Colton. He was employed by the State Highway Department and had lived in Sioux Falls since 1936.

Surviving are three daughters, Helen Anderson and Mrs. Forest (Hazel) Bradfield, both of Sioux Falls; Mrs. John (Alice) Schlieman of Hartford; a son Irven of Sioux Falls. 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. A brother Elmer of Wichita, Kansas and a sister Mrs. Bertha Seller of Elk City, Kansas. Internment will be in the Hills of Rest Memorial Park
