Anthony F. Sterner

Anthony F. Sterner, 80, a retired butcher who operated his business and formerly resided in Hanover, died Friday at 11:35 p.m. in a Catonsville, Md., hospital.
Mr. Sterner was a son of the late John and Rosetta Hoff Sterner. He was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Florence Bowman Sterner, York; two sons and a daughter, A. Franklin Sterner, Hanover R.D. 3; Donald H. Sterner, York, and Mrs. Betty Garvick, Shillington; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, and three sisters, Mrs. Roy G. Jacobs, Jacobs Mills; Mrs. Harry W. Imhoff, East Berlin, and Mrs. John L. Toot, Abbottstown R.D. 1.
The Rev. David A. Menges, pastor of the Mt. Carmel Lutheran Church, will conduct the private funeral service tomorrow at 10 a.m. at the Panebaker Funeral Home, Broadway. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
The family requests memorials be omitted.
Pallbearers will be Arthur L. Bowman, Fred A. Gass, Elwood and Stephen Sterner, Curtis R. Wildasin and John Yost.
