Edgar J. Sterner

Hanover - Edgar J. Sterner, 68, of 2014 North Edgewood Street, Baltimore, formerly of Hanover, died yesterday at 8 a.m. in Hanover General Hospital where he was admitted Sept. 13 after he was stricken while visiting relatives in this area.
A retired meat cutter, he was a native of Porter's Sideling and was a son of the late John W. and Rosetta Hoff Sterner.
Mr. Sterner was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran church, Baltimore, and the Eagle Fire company, this place.
Surviving are: His wife, Mrs. Viola C. Kopp Sterner; two sons, John E. Sterner, Oaklawn, Ill., and Edgar K. Sterner, Highland Park, Ill.; five grandchildren, five sisters, Mrs. Katie Brenneman and Mrs. Roy Jacobs, both of Jacob's Mills; Mrs. Harry Imhoff, East Berlin; Mrs. Guy Crist, Jefferson, and Mrs. John Toot, Abbottstown RD, and a brother, Anthony Sterner, Baltimore.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Bucher Funeral Home, Frederick Street. Rev. Edgar D. Zeigler, pastor of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, and Rev. Dr. Kenneth S. Ehrhart, pastor of Jefferson Lutheran charge, will officiate. Interment will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.
