Conrad Stahlecker was born in Russia on Nov. 20, 1864, the son of Johann and Barbara (Reuter) Stahlecker. He came to America with his parents when he was nine years old.

On Apr. 5, 1894, he married Anne Giedd. They were blessed with 13 children. They were Freida, Amelia, Pauline, Lydia, Martha, Hulda, Dora, Mary, Martha, Emma, Ella, Walter and Anna.

Conrad and Anne farmed around Naper, Nebraska all their married life.

Frieda, Amelia and Martha died at an early age. The twins, Dora and Mary died of the flu just one week apart at the age of 20 years. Martha died at the age of 15 years.

Their daughter Pauline never married. She did housework for other people, and died at the age of 49 years.

Conrad and Anne had 14 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
