Elizabeth was born on Apr. 13, 1881 in Tripp, South Dakota to Johann and Barbara (Reuter) Stahlecker.

She married Karl Reichel on Jan. 18, 1900 at Naper, Nebraska.

Her husband, John Stahlecker, Sr., and Sam Statsmann started a hardware store in Naper, Nebraska. The families got too big so Karl moved his family to Herrick, South Dakota. There they started a hardware-furniture and undertaking business. He had the business until 1919, when the family took a trip to Cook, Minnesota to visit friends. Karl liked the country so well that he went back to Herrick, sold his home and store to Pete Horst, and moved out in October of 1919. He bought 80 acres of land and farmed. He died in 1943 of a heart condition.

After her husband passed away, Elizabeth moved to her daughters and had very good health until she fell and broke her hip. When she died, she was the last surviving of her brothers, sisters and all in-laws.

Elizabeth is survived by one daughter, Lottie; 4 sons, Waldo, Henry, John and William; 8 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and 9 great-great grandchildren.
