Age 81, of New Castle, DE, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 9, 2010.
Mrs. Evans was a seamstress, and she enjoyed gardening and yard sales. She received awards in bowling for "High Score" and for donating her time and talents for teaching Sunday School for 35 years at the Church of the Nativity.
Mrs. Evans is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Thomas Evans; 4 children: Peggy Cole, Ellen Leonard and husband John; Janice Evans, Steven Evans; brother, Philip Reaume; sister, Helen Carlton; 6 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, Clifford Reaume; sister, Rebecca Cooper; and daughter of the late Clifford and Elsie (Dyer) Reaume.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, May 13, in the Strano & Feeley Family Funeral Home, 635 Churchmans Road, Newark, DE 19702 from 10:30 am-12:30 pm followed by a service in celebration of Alberta's life at 12:30 pm. Burial will be in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
