Mrs. Dovie M. McKnight , 86, of 709 McKinney, Springdale, passed away June 20 in the Sprindale Memorial Hospital. Born November 7, 1890, at Aurora, the daughter of William Lee and Nancy Louisa Driver Hayes, she was a member of the Free Holiness Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Harrison McKnight, Feburary 6, 1974.
Survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Billie Head, Mrs. Dalphia Whitson, both of Fayetteville, and Mrs. Bradah Drake of Haskell Okla.; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Funeral Services was Tuesday June 21, at 2 o'clock in Brashears Chapel, with Rev. Noel Foster and Rev.Jerry Simpson officiating.
Interment was in the Henderson Creek Cemetery, under the direction of Brashears. Pallbears were Jim Bill Spencer, Jimmy Hayes, Earl McKnight Jr., B. J. Collins, Billy Jake Drake, and Claude McConnell.
