Frederick S. Jackson and R.E. Jackson (Must be a brother both born in Va.) share the same tombstone, in this cemetery.
Marriage License; Frederick S. Jackson to Mary L. Boothe,
16 Feb 1848, Perry Co, Ala. Minister of Gospel~~Jas. H. Devotie.
I found a 1850 Oak grove, Perry Co, Ala. census listing the following;
Frederick S. Jackson b. 1809, Va. age 41
Mary L. Jackson 1829 b. S C age 22
Benj. W. Jackson b. 1836 Tenn. age 14 (I believe separate mother)
Robt. M. Jackson b. 1842 Tenn. age 8
Margaret S. Jackson b. 1844 Ala. age 6
Wm. E. Jackson b. 1849 Ala age 1.
I believe Wm. E. is the son of F.S. Jackson and Mary Lucretia Jackson. They went on to have three more sons,
Frederick Stith, Jr. 1854, Thomas B. 1855, and James W. Jackson, 1856.
~~~
On the old database of The Old Palestine Cemetery, it states that Mary L. and Louisa C. Jackson were the wives of R.E. Jackson. This was not possible as the marriage license were for F.S. and Louisa C. Malone and for F. S. and Mary L. Boothe. Found no marriage license for R.E. Jackson to anyone.
~~~
The family later moves to Palestine, Anderson County Texas.
Both Frederick S. and R.E. Jackson died in 1863 in Palestine, Texas.
Mary Lucretia then marries Col. Thomas J. Word, 10 May 1871, Anderson Co, Texas.
She and Thomas J. have one daughter Eoline Word Reagan.
She marries Jefferson D. Reagan, son of John H. and Mollie Reagan.
