Phillip Ray Sikes, 56, of Paris died Saturday, May 8, 2010, at Dubuis Hospital in Paris, at which time Bright-Holland Funeral Home received him into their care.

Graveside services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 11, at Forest Hill Cemetery with Reverend Diana Russell officiating.

The family receives friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday, at the funeral home.

He was born Sept. 26, 1953, in Paris to Ed Sikes and Dorothy Thomas Sikes. He married Mary Sue Sikes Oct. 22, 2002. He owned and operated Sikes Masonry and worked as a bricklayer for 35 years. He loved working in the yard with the love of his life, the other half of his heart, and he was a proud member of Covenant Christian Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Cherise Bohanon; brothers, Howard, Edgar and Jackie Sikes; an infant sister, Dorothy Sikes; and sister-in-law, Irene Sikes.

He is survived by his wife; sons, Clay Sikes and wife, Becky, of Paris, Clint Sikes and wife, Stacey, of Blossom, Glenn Bohanon and wife, Krystal, of Ada, Okla.; two daughters, Wendy Frazier and Lauren Salyer of the home; grandchildren, Austin Forbus, Chandler Sikes, Michael Sikes, Kaleb Sikes, Sarah Sikes, Mila Frazier, Jaxson Bohanon and Allie Savage; sisters, Bettie Bohler and husband, Richard, Linda Miller and husband, Floyd, and Shirley Norwood and husband, David; sisters-in-law, Melba Sikes, Sharon Sikes and Linda Sikes; a special buddy, Rico McDonald; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
