Luella Dukes Beasley, formerly of Charleston, SC, died in Hockessin, DE, April 19, 2010.

Born 1914 in Rowesville, SC, she was the daughter of Charles Wesley Dukes and Olivia Metts Dukes.

After completing high school, Luella was employed in Charleston for many years in the Medical Records Department of Medical University of SC.

She married Harry Earl Beasley February 14, 1941. They made their home in the Charleston area moving to James Island in 1956.

Luella enjoyed gardening and puzzles - both crossword and jig-saw. She was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church on James Island, SC.

Survivors include two sons: Harry E. Beasley Jr. and wife, Barbara, of Hockessin, DE and Robert J. Beasley and wife, Kathy, of North Canton, OH; five grandchildren; sister, Vernon Farner, and brother, Henry Dukes and wife, Peggy, of Orangeburg, SC.

She was predeceased by her husband; three sisters and four brothers.

Burial was in Bethany Cemetery.
