Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, with the Rev. James Dubrouillet officiating. Burial will be in Crestlawn Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Farner was born May 10, 1923, in Rowesville, S.C., a daughter of the late Charley W. Dukes and the late Olivia Metts Dukes. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church. She was the widow of John Cecchini, Steve Trupiano and Major Bert M. Farner Jr. She was the retired owner/operator of Cecchini’s Italian Restaurant.
Survivors include three sons, John Cecchini Jr. of Powder Springs, Ga., Frederick Cecchini of Columbia and Rosario Cecchini of Orangeburg; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Henry Dukes of Orangeburg; and a number of nieces and nephws.
The family will receive friends at the residence of Henry Dukes, 823 Broughton St., Orangeburg, S.C. 29115 and at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc.
Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.
