CADIZ, Ky. — Icie Sholar Lawrence, 83, Cadiz, died at 6:15 a.m. Saturday, April 1, 2000, at Crittenden Health System, Marion, of natural causes.
Services were Sunday afternoon at Goodwin Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jack Larwa officiating. Burial was in Robertson Cemetery, Trigg County.
A native of Trigg County, she was born Sept. 24, 1916, the daughter of the late Jesse S. and Annie Rosella Choate Sholar. She was retired from Mid-Continent Spring Co. and was a member of the Cadiz United Methodist Church. Her husband, Robert Lee Lawrence, died in 1976. A daughter, Mary Virginia Allen, preceded her in death in 1996.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Harold Wayne (Sue) Cole, and Ann Taylor, both of Cadiz; two sisters, Frances Herndon, Cadiz, Nell Francis, Evansville, Ind.; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
