There is a stone for Elijah at Bear Valley Odd Fellows Cemetery, which is a cenotaph. Elijah also has a stone at Winton Cemetery, where he is buried.

Elijah was the son of John William Guest and Mary Marilda Scott, the grandson of John William Guest and Elizabeth Tracy. Elijah married Effie Edith Lowrie on March 31, 1920 and two sons; Vernon Walter and Douglas Ray.

ELIJAH GUEST
ATWATER -- Graveside services will be Monday morning at the Winton District Cemetery for Elijah W. Guest, 83, who died in a local hospital Thursday.
Chaplain John F. Sanders of Castle AFB will officiate, with full military honors provided by Castle AFB.
Mr. Guest was born Jan. 23, 1898 in Hornitos. He lived in the area 18 years and was a clerk for the Southern Pacific Railroad, retiring from that job after 25 years.
He was a veteran of World War II, a member of the American Legion Post 361 of Atwater, Atwater-Winton Senior Citizens group and was a member of Cherish of Atwater.
Survivors include his wife, Glenna Guest of Atwater; two sons, Doug Guest of Merced and Vernon W. Guest of Pacific Grove; a sister, Blanche Hill of Redwood City; two brothers, Norman Guest of Merced, and Albert Guest of Petaluma; 18 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Merced Mission Chapel of Ivers and Alcorn Funeral Home.
