Arthur Harry Skalberg, the son of August and Hannah Skalberg was born on February 11th, 1889 at Wakefield, Nebraska. He passed away on May 8, 1965 at the Valley View rest home at Wausa, at the age of 76 years, 2 months, and 27 days. He was married to Signe Lindquist on December 29, 1915. To this union was born four children, Janet (Mrs. Delbert Utecht of Bloomfield, Nebraska), James of Wausa, and twin sons, Richard of Wausa, Nebraska, and Ronald of Fremont, Nebraska.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Bertha, (Mrs. Gust Lind), and one brother David.
Left to survive are his wife, Signe Skalberg of Wausa, Nebraska, his daughter Janet of Bloomfield, his sons, Richard and James of Wausa, Nebraska, and Ronald of Fremont, Nebraska.
He is also survived by his five sisters, Emma (Mrs. Harry Peterson of Brookings, South Dakota), Hazel (Mrs. Will Johnson of Bloomfield), Crystal (Mrs. Elmer Homquist of Omaha, Nebraska), Mamie (Mrs. Edward Olson of California), and Rose (Mrs. Anthon Swanson of Wausa). Three brothers, Roy of Arkansas, Vernie of Omaha, and Norman of Phoenix Arizona. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, nieces and nephews and a hot of friends.
