OFFENBURGER

Leo Edward Offenburger, son of Henry and Myrtle Offenburger, was born in Warren Co., Iowa April 22, 1917 and was called to his eternal rest on May 20, 1980 at the home of his brother, Randall, following a heart attack. He had been in failing health for some time.

He served his country in World War II and was a retired mechanic.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include two brothers, Randall of Chariton and Neil of Woodburn; two sisters, Mary New of Corydon and Sylvia Hull of Chariton; nine nephews; other relatives and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m., Friday, May 23, 1980 at the Fielding Funeral Home with the Rev. Rodney Thompson officiating. Burial was in the Chariton Cemetery.
