Last Rites For Bernoff Johnson Today At Trinity

Bernoff Johnson, lifelong resident of this community, died at his home in Pelican Rapids Monday afternoon, victim of an apparently self-inflicted gunshot wound. He was 64 years of age.

He was born on June 8, 1903 in Pelican Rapids. His parents were the late Bjure and Elva Johnson. Except for a short while spent in Virginia this community has been his home.

He was married to Myrtle Huseby on October 22, 1935.

He leaves his wife and two daughters, Marcella (Mrs. Larry Scully) of Duluth and Lyla (Mrs. David Williamschen) of Fergus Falls and two granddaughters and one sister Minda (Mrs. Joe Redmond) of Hunter, N. Dak.

Besides his parents he is preceded in death by one sister Signe (Mrs. George Svare) and four brothers, Bennie, Morgan, Palmer and Edwin.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 28, 1968 at 2:00 p.m. from the Trinity Lutheran Church, the Rev. Cecil Johnson, pastor.

Interment will be held in the Trinity Cemetery. Friends may call at the Johnson Funeral Home.
