Mrs. Selena Adams, the daughter of Mr. Matthew and Malinda Wallace was a native of Plumerville, Arkansas. The parents moved to Tullahassee, Oklahoma in the earlier years and she united with the First Baptist Church of Tullahassee and attended the common schools of her hometown.

She was united in Marriage to Mr. Douglas Murrell and to this union, one child was born. March 22, 1917, she married Mr. John Adams. The family has resided in Tulsa for a number of years , and she united with the Mount Rose Baptist Church a number of years ago and was a member of the Consecrated Women.

She was a loyal supporter of the program of her church and was quiet and unassuming in manner, but exemplified all earmarks of true Christianity.

For several months, her health has been of grave concern to her family and she passed April 7, 1963, at four o'clock in the afternoon.

Survivors include her husband, Mr. John Adams of the home, three daughters, one sister; three brothers; fifteen grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and other relatives and friends.
