He was the son of Neal Henry Ezell, Sr. and Rhoda EttaV Foy. He married Annie Ruth Brown June 4, 1948 in Osyka, Pike County, MS. They had five children: Vearl Eugene, September 17, 1950; Henry Lynn, October 6, 1952; Frances Elizabeth "Fran". August 6, 1954; Deborah Kay "Debbie", September 25, 1956; and Richard Neal "Ricky", October 13, 1960.
He died in M. D. Anderson Hospital from cancer.
