AFTON-Sidney Delvin Allen, 59, of Route 2, Afton, died unexpectedly Monday evening (December 24, 1973) at his home. He was the husband of Mrs. Trosy Truslow Allen.
Mr. Allen was born April 16, 1914, in Nelson County, son of Mrs. Willie Austin Hatter Allen of Afton and the late Frank Leslie Allen. He was a member of Wintergreen Christian Church and worked with the maintenance department of Acme Visible Records in Crozet.
Survivors, in addition to his wife and mother, are two daughters, Mrs. Barbara Baldwin and Mrs. Elizabeth A. Spitler, both of Afton; one brother, A. J. Allen of Afton; one half-brother, Saylor Hatter of Faber; two sisters, Mrs. Maggie Zimmerer of Florida and Mrs. Nellie Pierce of Greenwood; and four grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow at Wintergreen Christian Church, conducted by the Rev. John Chaffee. Burial will be in the Fellowship Pentecostal Holiness Church cemetery.

Sidney Delvin Allen was the husband of Trosy L. Truslow and the son of Frank Leslie Allen and Willie Austin Hatter. Sidney and Trosy were married on October 21, 1939 in Nelson County, VA.
