FRED W. MEYER
Fred W. Meyer, 55, died Saturday morning in the Sabetha Community Hospital which he had entered Thursday.
Mr. Meyer was a heavy construction worker and farmer who was born at Stratthagen, Germany. He married Margaret Strahm May 4, 1945, and after living at Junction City, Kansas, the couple moved to the Sabetha and Bern area in 1963.
Surviving are his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Marlene Oppenlander, Lawrence, and Marcia Meyer, Sabetha; two sons, Melvin Meyer, Pittsburg and Michael Meyer, Sabetha; a brother Carl Meyer, Sabetha, a sister, Mrs. Ivan Montgomery, Bern, and two grandsons.
Services were held July 29 at the Popkess chapel in Sabetha, the Rev. John Domsch officiating. Burial was in Friedens Cemetery.
