Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Feb. 16 at Ozark Full Gospel Church. Funeral: 2 p.m. Feb. 17 at Adams Funeral Home, Ozark, with Pastor James Eakins officiating. Burial to follow at Ozark City Cemetery. David Eugene Eakins, 77, of Ozark, passed away Feb. 10, 2018, at Cox South Hospital. David entered the Kingdom of Heaven surrounded by his family as they sang his favorite song “Amazing Grace.” David committed himself to God, his marriage, his family, his dog, Bull, and to his work. All who knew David were blessed by his willingness to serve others, his charismatic humor, and his dedication to all that he loved. David worked at Silver Dollar City before starting his 10-year commitment to the Ozark School District where he retired in June 2017. David is survived by his wife of 55 years, Sharon; his children Michael, Sharon, Matthew and Thom Eakins; eight grandchildren Amy Day, Stefanie Eakins, Cody Eakins, Dru Wood, Cassie Mabe, Taylor Eakins, Kameron Eakins and Lydia Eakins; nine great-grandchildren; seven siblings, Guy and wife Jan, Chuck and wife Millie, Janet Heatherly and husband Wandal, Stephen and wife Kay, James and wife Judy, Timothy and wife Joella, and Mark Eakins; and numerous nieces and nephews on his and his wife's side of the family. David was preceded in death by his parents Martha Jane and Guy Eakins; and his siblings Galen Eakins, John Eakins and Mary Barcliff.
