John William Ashby, 84, 3320 460 East, died of natural causes Friday 11:30 a.m. in a Salt Lake hospital. Born March 21, 1873, Holden, Millard County, to John Jefford and Susannah Felshaw Ashby. Married Lovina Van Leuvan, 1892, Richfield, later solomnized, Manti Temple, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Survivors: widow, six sons, four daughters, William Earl, Alton D., Mrs. May Casper, Mrs Wanda Maughan, Salt Lake City; Emeron, Florida; Glen, Kaysville; Don, Heyburn, Idaho; John H., Twin Falls, Idaho; Mrs. Luta Powell, Albion, Idaho; Mrs. Maxine Loveless, Hollydale, California; 54 grandchildren, brother and two sisters.

Funeral Monday, 2 p.m., 36 E. 7th South, where friends call Sunday, 6 to 8 p.m., Monday prior. Burial Holladay Cemetery.
