Audra Virginia Orr was born on August 28, 1923 to Robert and Elsie (Mertell) Orr in the Ozarks at Meta, Missouri. She was a 1941 graduate of Las Animas High School in Las Animas, Colorado. Audra trained to become a psychiatric aide at Colorado State Hospital in Pueblo, Colorado. She continued working and attended Pueblo Junior College. On March 2, 1944 she was united in marriage to Hans Jorgensen in Chicopee, Massachusetts. After Hans honorable discharge from the United States Air Force they farmed in Colorado before purchasing their present farm in Tenhassen Township near Ceylon in 1948, where they farmed until their retirement in 1984, remaining on the farm. Audra was employed at Stokley Van-Camp Canning Company in Fairmont for thirty-five years until her retirement in 1988. Hans died on December 5, 2000. She continued living on the farm until moving to Fairmont. Audra was a member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Fairmont. She was a former member of the United Methodist Church in Ceylon.

Survivors include her daughter, Beverly (Delwin)Kruschke of Sierra Vista, Arizona; two grandsons, Chris (Ann) Kruschke of Tucson, Arizona and Eric (Terri) Kruschke of Cork, Ireland; five grandchildren, Megan, Titus, Nathan, Madeline and Evelyn Kruschke; four sisters, Hilda Koroloski of Cameron, Missouri, Myrtle Jean Pieper of Kalamazoo, Michigan, Imogene of Virginia, Joyce (Lloyd) Reyher of Pampa, Texas; brother-in-law, William (Helen) Jorgensen of Sheffield, Iowa; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Audra was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Hans Jorgensen; brothers and sisters and other relatives.
