PASSES AWAY
THIS MORNING

Mrs. Pearl M. Davies, 63,
2010 South K street, died at
1:45 a.m. this morning at the
Mercy Hospital following a
few weeks' illness.
Born Feb. 14 1900, in Curtis-
ville, she was the daughter of
Martin and Anna Hurst. She
married Jenkin J. Davies, March
25, 1916. She was a member of
the East Main Street Christian
church and of the Eagles Aux-
iliary and the M. T. M. club.
Survivors include: The hus-
band; four children, Mrs. Vel-
ma Porter, William K. Davies,
Jack M. Davies and Mrs. Lucil-
le Barnes, all of Elwood; three
sisters, Mrs. Opal Price and Mrs.
Clara Beckley of Elwood and
Dorothy Guinn of Anderson; a
half brother, George Halford of
Anderson; and seven grandchil-
dren.
The body is at the Copher and
Fesler funeral home. Funeral
rites have not been completed.
