Herman G. Mines 1914 ~ 2010 Herman G. Mines, 96, died peacefully April 16, 2010. Born and raised in Utah, Herman was a star running back for BYU, and a World War II Army Veteran with combat service in the South Pacific. Herman and Maxine raised their family in Utah, Colorado, and Kansas. Beloved father of Gayle (Thayne) Larsen, Susan (Richard) Harris, Colleen (Anthony) Frost, Kevin (Carren) Mines, and Keith (Cecile) Mines; loving grandfather of 27; and proud great grandfather of 41. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine, four brothers and two sisters. Visitation Sat., April 24, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. with funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Walker Family Mortuary, 187 S.
