In this city, August 12, 1001, Christopher Meyer, a native of Germany,aged 78 years. Captain Meyer was a well known and highly respected resident of this city, where he has resided for thirty years, he was a veteran of the Civil War and a member of the G. A. R.. During his many years as a resident in Carson he made a host of friends who deeply regret his end. Although he had lived his three score years and ten he was a bright and intellectual old gentleman and retained the many friends he had by kindly acts and generosity. The funeral will take place this afternoon under the. auspices of Custer Post, from the family residence at 4:30.
